My name is Kaisa Lupardus. I have recently relocated to Edmond after ten years of running a private preschool with my mother and husband in Fort Worth, TX. While working here, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Education, (early childhood through sixth grade.) I also passed all teaching examinations and hold a current teaching license. During that time, I also took this school through the 3 year long Texas School Ready Accreditation Process. For my trouble, the State of Texas gave me the curriculum from Pearson called Open the World of Learning. I also have Frogstreet Press as well that is utilized throughout my curriculum. I am highly skilled and experienced in educating young children on the subject of reading. I have developed a separate reading and writing curriculum that I have added to OWL. It is my opinion that children can never get enough reading and writing experience in or out of the classroom.
We will use Open the World of Learning to guide instruction . I have been extensively trained in the use of this Pre-K curriculum that can be modified to meet the needs of younger learners. These thematic units are great for teaching kids letters, numbers, shapes, colors, phonics, math, and reading. You can also expect comprehension lessons, social/emotional lessons, social studies, science, fine arts, physical education, technology education, sensory activities, and language/communication lessons. Our little minds will be busy at Lil Learners Academy. You can expect your child to be learning through a mixture of play, direct instruction, group work, and individual activities. It is very important to us that your children are on a daily schedule as well. When children know what they can expect from me, I will be able to expect a lot more from them. My main focus is to get your children ready for Kindergarden. Because I am a teacher and have worked in a public school, I can say that I know what will be expected of your children. From proper manners all the way to emergent reading, we have it all covered for you here at our little school. You will also receive frequent updates on your child's progress, and are always welcome to come to us for any questions/concerns about our curriculum.
We are open from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. Please visit the website for information on closings or contact me directly. We have a yearly calendar posted and you will be notified of any unexpected closings.
I know you have immense options when choosing childcare. It can seem overwhelming at times, I have been right there with you! We are offering a more personal experience for you and your children, with an amazing curriculum to go along with it. I wanted the children to feel at home and get the learning experience both you and your child want them to have. With my education and background, you can feel reassured in your decision to try a smaller setting with more one on one and an educated staff. With ratios of six to one, how can you beat the quality of care?
Opening August 20th
What are your hours of operation? We are open Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Please note that closings will be posted on the calendar. If I am unable to work due to illness or other cause, a substitute will be provided whenever possible. You will always be notified of closings of any kind.

Do you Offer Discounts? Yes, a multi child and a monthly pay discount is available.

You will need to bring a lunch every day. Your child will need adequate play shoes as well. You may bring a backpack, an extra change of clothes, and a stuffed animal for comfort if needed.
I am Ms. Kaisa. I have three children and a great husband who has always helped I have a degree in Elementary education and have been a director of a preschool serving 50 students for the last 8 years. We just moved to Edmond so my Husband and my brother can finish their degrees. I am so excited to be here and even more excited to give your children the small ratios and one on one they deserve to achieve the best learning experience I can offer them.
This is my Husband Matt. Matt has finished his coursework to be a teacher, he only needs to student teach. Matt has also worked in a preschool setting for the last five years right along side me. He has done everything from teaching to handy work in our last school. He is highly experienced and super fun! Together, we are an amazing team. You will be in great hands.
This is my brother Greg. Greg is a senior at UCO and wrestles 197 pounds for the college. He is also a certified personal trainer and is well educated about nutrition. He and my husband have had a youth wrestling club for three years, Greg has a lot of experience with young children and the proper methods of teaching them. He is also a blast!! When he is not in classes or on the wrestling mat, he will be doing physical education with the kids. I have asked him to do P.E. with the children and talk about health/nutrition with them every week.
